Arbitrary triangle

It’s possible to calculate the area of a triangle, if you know one of the lengths (the one that is chosen as base line) and the height (the perpendicular line from the base line to the opposite vertex).


The formula for the area of an arbitrary triangle is given by:

A=frac{1}{2}*B*h

where A is the area, B is the length of the base line and h is the height.
