The equation of a sphere with center point C=(x_0,y_0,z_0)
and radius r, is usually written this way:

r^2 <= (x-x_0)^2+(y-y_0)^2+(z-z_0)^2

The sphere’s equation does apply for all points on the surface as well as the points “inside” the sphere.


The equation of the sphere’s surface is given by:

r^2=(x-x_0)^2+(y-y_0)^2+(z-z_0)^2
