Fractions

A fraction is divided by another fraction by multiplying the first fraction by the reciprocal of the second fraction (the fraction turned upside-down).

frac{a}{b}:frac{c}{d}=frac{a}{b}*frac{d}{c}=frac{a*d}{b*c}

Example:

frac{2}{7}:frac{4}{9}=frac{2}{7}*frac{9}{4}=frac{2*9}{7*4}=frac{18}{28}=frac{9}{14}
