Circle segment

The circumference of circle segment is the sum of the chord length and the arc length.

The chord length can be calculated with the following formula:


crd(theta)=2*r*sin(frac{theta}{2})

The formula for the arc length is:

S=r*theta

The formula for the circumference of a circle segment is therefore:

C=r*theta+2*r*sin(frac{theta}{2})

where θ is the angle between the two radiuses defining the circle segment. The angle is in radians.
